Chapter Two
Please share your thoughts about the encounter Mia has at the grocery store with Billy.
I think she realized that there are other people like her in the world, and she is NOT alone. I also think she felt a little bad for the kids when his Mother yelled at him for making up stories, cause she knows he was saying what he saw, NOT making stuff up. She was definatly surprised, because she thought she was alone in the world, that NO ONE was the same as her, but now she knows that there are others like her, not just herself. I also think that at first, she was confused, because the way she see's her name is so much different than the way he see's it.
I think if I were her i would be suprised, beacause when she was little, she thought everyone had what she has. But, when no one had defended her, she thought NO ONE had synesthesia. So, when she heard Billy say what he thought Mia was, she was suprised to find some one else that has what she has. Even if what he thinks is different than what she thinks, she knew that he also see's colors. But, she also thinks, that everything that she knew about her is wrong because Billy's perspective of the name "Mia" is different that hers.
Yes I agree with you Shannon, I think that realized that there are other people like her in the world and that even though people may think so, she is not a freak.
When i was reading this i was saying in my head "i knew it ! i knew it ! i knew it" like i totally had predicted the whole time we have read this book so far and that she has synesthesia thatr she would meet someone else with it too so......... yeah
