Chapter Three
It seems as though nobody -- not her family or her best friend -- knows about the way Mia perceives the world. Why do you think she's told no one, not even Jenna?
I think she is not telling anyone because she is remembering what had happened in the third grade and she doesn't want anyone to think of her as a freak. She is nervous that if she DOES tell people about it, they will never think of her the same way, and maybe she's worried that Jenna would ignore her, and not be her friend.
I agree. I think why she hid it for so long because she doesn't want a replay type of thing, like of what had happened to her when she was a bit younger at the time. I dont know why she would keep it from Jenna though. Jenna has known her for quite a while and I dont think she would laugh. But I also think that when Mia told Jenna, Jenna overreacted a little bit.
