Chapter Nine
When Mia's father says, "I don't like what's going on" (p. 158), what specifically do you think he means?
I think he is talking about Mia's whole synesthesia thing because it has obviously getting in the way of her school work and he isn't happy that her grades are'nt very good. Also he might be talking about when Mia stormed up to her room and didn't want to talk to anyone so he might be concerned about Mia not wanting to talk to anyone about whats been going on and that she's so closed into herself and won't let them try to help her through this tough time.
I think it is because he had found her e-mails to Adam and had read them and gotten suspisious and showed them to Mia's mom. I think that it means he isn't really liking what everybody is doing about Mias synethesia.
That he doesn't like Mia's test grades that were before Mia's mom telling about the A. Or, maybe she could be studying more for math and Spanish instead of spending so much time on the computer. Maybe he found out about Roger calling and was concerned just like Mia's mom.
I think there are many reasons he said this. On reason I think is that mia said that she takes a bath almost everyday, so her dad might think that she doesn't want to talk to anyone in her family. Another reason I think is that her dadn found the e-mails from Adam and got worried. A third reason I think could be that Mia's dad doesn't want Mia to go to the big meeting after Thanks Giving. My last reason I think might be true, but I'm not to sure, but maybe Dr.Weiss is going to send Mia to a doctor that Mia doesn't know about yet, and Mia's dad doesn't like the idea of it.
