Chapter Four

Mia doesn’t tell anyone about her synesthesia, not even Jenna.  When the truth is revealed, Jenna’s response surprises Mia.  “Maybe you don’t know what a best friend is.” (p. 77)  How would you describe Jenna’s reaction?  Anger?  Disappointment?  Hurt?  Do you think Jenna is justified in her feelings?  How would you respond to Jenna’s statement about the meaning of best friend?

    I would say that Jenna was angry, disappointed, and hurt. I think she is justified in her feelings, because I think that I might have acted the same way in the situation. I think instead of Mia'a responce to Jenna's comment, I wouldn't have fought back, because I think that that made the whole thing a lot worse.

    I think she was all of those feelings and I think she had a right to feel all of those feelings. I do think that her statement was a little harsh. Instead of making that rude comment, she could have talked her feelings over with Mia sensibly.

    I also think she was all of those things and I was surprised at Mia's response. I think Jenna is a little justified in her feelings because Mia never told her and she told Mia everything, but Mia never told anyone else. I would respond the same way that Mia did by telling Jenna that I had never told anyone else before.

    I think she feels all three of those things. I think she feels like this because she can't believe her best friend wouldn't tell her this.

    Nick, could you plase elaborate more on your thoughts? They're kinda short and not really explaining what you think, just kind of writing a short part of everybody else's. I want to hear what YOU have to say not everybody else. Unless you have a comment thats very thoughtful that makes up for it, it would be nice. And for everybody else (including Nick) I totally agree with your comments and think you guys are doing a very good job. Holy Moley, this was long!!!!!!!!

    I agree with Shannon. Nick, You should be supporting your details more. Unless you have a really good answer for the comment or a really good excuse not to write long ones. Part of the group has noticed that a lot of your comments are really short. I agree with all your answers, but just include more details on EHY you think that or something like that. Holy Moley. Even THIS is long!!!

    I think that Jenna felt that Mia couldn't trust her, because you can tell your best friend everything but i think that Jenna thought thatr Mia coukdn't do that with her.
